Cloud logging
Logs sit on Syslog's cloud servers, so you don't buy disks or hardware to store them.
Collects logs from any syslog-capable device and stores them in the cloud or on your own server. Search and reports run in a web panel.

Overview
Routers, firewalls, switches, access points and servers write syslog messages the whole time they run. You go back to those records when troubleshooting, investigating a security incident or meeting log retention obligations. Kept on local disks, they grow fast, can be lost to a disk or power failure, and are hard to search later. Syslog keeps them in one central, redundant store.
A web-based panel manages and monitors the log services and the connections to your devices. It works with any brand or model that sends standard syslog, so logs from MikroTik, Ubiquiti and other common gear are searched, analysed and reported in the same place.
Logs can stay on Syslog's cloud servers, or you can run log management and storage on your own server. Cloud packages are sized by the number of online clients and include 2 years of retention. For other sizes we put together an enterprise package.
Syslog
Logs sit on Syslog's cloud servers, so you don't buy disks or hardware to store them.
Log management and storage run on a server you own, and the data stays in-house.
Takes logs from any router, firewall, switch, access point or server that sends syslog, whatever the brand or model.
Log services and device connections are managed and monitored from a web panel.
Search past records, dig into them and pull detailed reports from the panel.
Cloud packages keep logs for 2 years on redundant storage, so they don't depend on a single disk or device.
Decide whether logs live in the cloud or on your own server. For cloud, pick the package that fits your client count.
Set the Syslog server as the remote logging target on your routers, firewalls and access points.
Logs from every source are stored centrally with redundancy and show up in the panel.
When you need to trace an incident or answer a request, search past logs, analyse them and export a report.

No. Syslog can also be installed on your own server, and log management and storage then run there. We can look at your infrastructure and help you pick the right model.
By online clients: 25, 50, 100, 200, 300 or 400. Every package includes cloud logging, 2 years of retention, the management panel, search, analysis and reporting. For other user counts we prepare an enterprise package.
It supports log retention by keeping device logs central and redundant. Law 5651 details such as timestamping and reporting need to be assessed for your specific setup. For businesses offering guest internet, timestamped hotspot logging is done by WiPoint.
WiPoint is for guest Wi-Fi: it manages hotspot locations, authenticates users and keeps session records. Syslog is general-purpose log management for the system and event logs from routers, firewalls, switches and servers. You can run both on the same network.
The syslog standard (RFC 3164 and RFC 5424) normally uses UDP port 514. TCP can be used for reliable delivery and TLS for encryption. Which transport your devices use is set during setup, based on your infrastructure.
